We are excited to welcome you and your Seahawk at Orientation this summer! Below you'll find some frequently asked questions about Orientation.
Are sheets, pillows, towels, etc included for students and guests staying on-campus in a residence hall?
No. Towels, linens, and pillows are not included if you stay at a residence hall. We recommend bringing a sleeping bag so bedding is easier to manage, as well as a pillow, towel, and toiletries. If you prefer to bring sheets, you will need the twin xl size. For more information, please contact Housing at housing@uncw.edu or (910) 962-3241.
What is early arrival?
Early arrival is offered to first-year students and their guests who wish to arrive the night before their Orientation begins and want to stay on campus. It is only offered to those attending Orientation in June. Check-in is between 7-9PM the night before the Orientation session starting in Loggerhead Hall. Orientation Leaders will have a variety of activities planned to introduce students to each other beginning at 8:30 p.m. in the student residence hall. There are no activities planned for guests. Students & guests can register for Early Arrival in the add-on section of Orientation registration. If Early Arrival was not added in your student’s initial registration, they may add it by emailing transitions@uncw.edu.
