Greetings from UNCW Housing and Residence Life! We wanted to provide you with some general information regarding the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Housing Application period process and timeline.
The Housing Application period for rising 2nd Year Students will be February 23, 2026, through March 13, 2026.
Rising 2nd Year Students, are guaranteed a space in campus housing, so there is no rush to complete the housing application immediately after it opens. They can complete it anytime between February 23 and March 13. They will also be provided with the opportunity to create a roommate group and designate room type/location preferences which will be taken into consideration when assignments are generated.
After March 13, they will be assigned a random priority number which will be used to determine their place in the assignments process. Roommate groups should then designate the member with the lowest number (closest to 1) as the group leader, as that will be the number used to determine the order in which groups are assigned.
Other important information:
- The AY 26-27 Housing Application Fee will be $150.00
- The Cancellation Deadline for returning students is April 1, 2026. Cancellations received after this date, for students not returning to UNCW, will incur a $250.00 late cancellation fee.
